Pompey is a town in the southeast part of Onondaga County, New York. As of the 2020 Census, the population was 7,080. [ 3 ] The town was named after the Roman general and political leader Pompey by a late 18th-century clerk interested in the Classics in the new federal republic.

Pompey Centre District No. 10 Schoolhouse is a historic one-room school building located at Pompey Center in Onondaga County, New York. It is a one-story frame building on a stone foundation, 24 feet wide and 32 feet deep. The roof features a small belfry. It was built in 1857 and ceased being used as a school in 1943. [2]
