Frank Lenord Clayman Cook (January 6, 1942 – July 9, 2021) was an American drummer and member of blues bands Canned Heat, Pacific Gas & Electric and Bluesberry Jam. For a time he was also the manager of Pacific Gas & Electric.
Frank Robert Cook (March 25, 1924 – August 13, 1982) was a Norwegian jazz musician and band leader. [1]Cook was born in Oslo, the son of Axel Brynjulf Christensen Cook (1886–1927) and Ingeborg Alma Cook (née Isaksen, 1888–1982).
After the Denver incident, Frank Cook was replaced with Adolfo de la Parra, who had been playing the drums in Bluesberry Jam (the band which evolved into Pacific Gas & Electric). As an official member of Canned Heat, de la Parra played his first gig on December 1, 1967, sharing top billing with the Doors at the Long Beach Auditorium. [11]

Frank Cook replaced Holmes as the bands drummer at around the same time. [1] After a run of infrequent gigs, the band disbanded in August 1966, [1] before reforming for a one off gig that November. This gig got the interest of agents for the William Morris Agency, who got the band a record contract.
When it became clear that Allen was the best singer in the new group, he became the front man, and Frank Cook, previously of Canned Heat, came into the band on drums. [5] Originally known as the Pacific Gas and Electric Blues Band, they shortened their name when they signed to Kent Records, releasing the album Get It On in early 1968. [5]

They were eventually joined by Larry Taylor and Frank Cook . Hite performed with Canned Heat at Monterey in June 1967 and Woodstock in August 1969. The performances were not included in the original (1970) film Woodstock , but are in the 1994 "Director's Cut" version.
