Following a recently failed quest, Kazuma Sato, Aqua, Megumin, and Darkness are visited by Yunyun.Yunyun explains the letter from her father telling her to have a son with Kazuma to make their child avenge the people of Crimson Demon Village, her and Megumin's hometown, when they get destroyed.
After an uneventful duel resulting in Megumin's victory, Kazuma and Megumin somehow end up sharing a bath together, leading to some panic when Aqua returns home. The next day at Wiz's shop, Megumin and Yunyun have another duel to decide who can properly use a magical Friendship Crystal, which ends up showing everyone their past embarrassments.
The party learns from Yunyun that the Crimson Demon village is under attack by one of Devil King's generals, Sylvia. At Megumin's request, the party follows Yunyun to the village. There, Kazuma makes advances towards Megumin and learns that a Japanese man created the Crimson Demons - along with weaponry to counter the Devil King's attacks.
It is a spin-off and a sequel to Kishimoto's Naruto and follows the exploits of Naruto Uzumaki's son Boruto Uzumaki and his ninja team.
