The Carson City Mint was a branch of the United States Mint in Carson City, Nevada. It primarily minted silver coins; however, it also minted gold coins, with a total face value in dollars nearly equal to that of its silver coins. The mint minted coins in 21 different years.
The Morgan dollar is a United States dollar coin minted from 1878 to 1904, in 1921, and beginning again in 2021 as a collectible. It was the first standard silver dollar minted since the passage of the Coinage Act of 1873 , which ended the free coining of silver and the production of the previous design, the Seated Liberty dollar .
He was dubbed the "Silver dollar king" after the discovery of the silver dollar hoard in 1974. From the mid 1960s to 1974 he hoarded more than 400,000 silver dollars. The entire hoard was sold to A-Mark Financial for US$7.3 million (equivalent to US$39.1 million in 2023).

Nevada State Museum, Carson City came into force by conserving the Carson City mint. The mint was in operation from 1870 to 1893 but it houses the earliest coin press which operates from here until date. Coin Press No. 1 which is the sole coin press generates medallions with the famed CC mint mark even now. The museum was opened in 1941.
The brokers in turn recirculated the coins by selling them at a discount from face value to employers who included them in workers' pay packets. The United States trade dollar is a silver (fineness of .900 or 90%) dollar coin that was issued by the United States Mint and minted in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Carson City, and San Francisco from 1873 to 1885. Business strike trade dollars were last produced in 1878 and proof coin production continued until 1885. [5]
