The discography for the American jazz rock band Steely Dan consists of nine studio albums, twenty one singles, two live albums, one live set on DVD, seven compilations and one box set in the United States. The band was originally active from 1971 to 1981 and later reformed in 1993 and continued to release studio and live material up to today.
Missing are both sides of the band's 1972 debut single ("Dallas" b/w "Sail the Waterway"), neither of which has ever been re-issued on CD, because of the band's dislike of the songs. The compilation was the first release of the remastered versions of Steely Dan's albums until the remastered studio albums were issued in 1998.
The remaining six tracks include two additional charting singles "My Old School" and 'Kid Charlemagne," a cover of Duke Ellington's "East St. Louis Toodle-Oo" which had been issued as a promotional single and "Bad Sneakers" which missed the Billboard Hot 100 as a single, and two album tracks, "Bodhisattva" and "Babylon Sisters."
