The film began its production in January 2007 and was made on a budget of ₹ 16–18 crore (US$4.3–4.8 million). [a] Filming primarily took place in Hyderabad and Ramoji Film City. The film has music composed by M. M. Keeravani and cinematography by K. K. Senthil Kumar. Yamadonga was released worldwide on 15 August 2007.
