Livermore is a city in Alameda County, California. With a 2020 population of 87,955, [6] Livermore is the most populous city in the Tri-Valley, giving its name to the Livermore Valley. It is located on the eastern edge of California's San Francisco Bay Area, making it the easternmost city in the area.
The City of Livermore purchased the building for use as City Hall on August 28, 1957. Over the ensuing three decades, Livermore's population swelled from 12,000 to over 48,000 residents. Designated as "City Hall" during this period of substantial growth, the building has been central to the city's governance.
