This was a problem on Roku’s end. It was eventually fixed but took almost a week. First the Cinemax stream was back, a couple days later Starz and MGM+ was back. I know most folks probably just watch the on demand stuff, but since we are paying for the channels, I wish (Roku) would be a little more prompt about noticing a problem and fixing it.
It does not work on my Samsung QN55Q6DTAFXZA smart TV, using the "The Roku Channel" app. I can watch free stuff through the app, but it doesn't show the STARZ channel. The menu bar on the left doesn't even have a Premium tab. To be clear, I don't have a Roku device hooked up to the Samsung; I'm trying to use the "The Roku Channel" app from the ...
The starz app (standalone) will not let me log in using my cable credentials. I removed the starz channel, restarted my roku premier unit, and reinstalled the same channel. The only login I get is the free trial. I used to have a roku streaming account to watch additional content, but I canceled that over a year ago.
Then restart your device from Settings>System>System restart. Once your player starts up again, add the channel back once more. Sign-in into the channel with your Starz account, you will find the login option on the top right corner. If the issue still persists, we suggest you reach out to the providers directly.
Starz Supported Device page for Roku lists only: 2nd Generation Roku 2, 3, and 4; Roku Stick; This appears to be hopelessly out of date. There is no mention of any current models that obviously work. (Current products are Generation 9 & 10). And I suspect Starz may have dropped support for at least some those early models as well.
If not, we highly recommend so. If there is no option to sign in, we highly suggest deleting the channel, performing a system reboot, and installing it again to see if this will make any difference. If you're still having trouble accessing the channel using your Starz account, we highly recommend reaching out to the channel provider themselves ...
Navigate to the channel tile on the Roku home screen, press the star (*) key on your remote, and choose "Remove channel". Next, restart your device from Settings > System > Power > System Restart (If you do not see a Power submenu, skip to the next step).
Re: Starz subscription won’t renew. Make sure you're logging into https://my.roku.com using the email address that's displayed on the Roku device with Starz under Settings->System->About. Some people have more than one Roku account without remembering/realizing it.
Starz does not feel that it is an issue on their end, especially since their channel (same version and build) works on my Roku Premier stick, but not on my Streambar. Roku support has asked for a Issue Tracker number and are pursuing the issue with back-end team (software and hardware engineers) and to get it resolved.
Re: How do I Cancel starz through Roku @AmandaKing Login to your Roku account on a computer or phone using the email on your Roku device. If your subscription is through Roku it will be listed and you can manage your subscription there.
