The Minnesota Star Tribune, formerly the Minneapolis Star Tribune, is an American daily newspaper based in Minneapolis, Minnesota.As of 2023, it is Minnesota's largest newspaper and the seventh-largest in the United States by circulation, and is distributed throughout the Minneapolis–Saint Paul metropolitan area, the state, and the Upper Midwest.
John Cowles Jr. (May 27, 1929 – March 17, 2012) was an American editor and publisher, son of John Cowles Sr. (1898–1983). Cowles sat on the boards of directors of the Associated Press and Columbia University's Pulitzer Prizes and had been CEO of Cowles Media Company, founded by his grandfather and until 1998 the parent of the Star Tribune.

Carl Ray Pohlad (August 23, 1915 – January 5, 2009) was an American financier from Minnesota.Pohlad is best known as the owner of the Minnesota Twins baseball franchise from 1984 (succeeding Calvin Griffith) until his death in 2009.
Today, those archives are owned by Brian Last, a New Jersey wrestling historian and podcaster who restarted the Wrestling News in 2022. Last has called Kietzer a trailblazer in covering pro wrestling.

Walt Paul Dziedzic (November 29, 1932 – November 24, 2018) was an American politician who served on the Minneapolis city council from 1976 until 1998, and then on the park board until his retirement in 2010. Prior to entering politics, Dziedzic spent 16 years as a police officer and inspector.
