Lord/Sensei Garmadon (voiced by Mark Oliver, Kai Emmett as a child in season 9, Dean Petriw as a child in season 11) is Lloyd's father, Wu's older brother, Misako's husband, and older son of the First Spinjitzu Master. The character of Lloyd Garmadon was conceived by two screenwriters, Dan and Kevin Hageman, following the pilot season. [3] The first sketch depicting Lloyd Garmadon was created in 2010 by co-creator Tommy Andreasen. [4] The Hageman Brothers have stated that "Lloyd" Garmadon was created as a pun on "Lord" Garmadon. [5]
The storyline focuses on his attempts to become an evil warlord by taking control of five Serpentine tribes before turning from the path of evil. Lord Garmadon returns as an unlikely ally of the ninja team, while Pythor P. Chumsworth and a legendary snake named the Great Devourer are introduced as the season's main antagonists.
Lloyd Garmadon and the main ninja characters are the protagonists of The Lego Ninjago Movie, which was released in 2017. Although the plot is not directly related to the Ninjago television series, Lloyd retains his role as the Green Ninja and leader of the secret ninja force, battling against the evil Lord Garmadon.
While Lloyd and Garmadon enter the darkness, the ninja receive a distress signal from the NGTV building. They decide to go and help the people trapped there, while P.I.X.A.L. stays behind to help Lloyd and Garmadon. When Lloyd and Garmadon reach the Realm Crystal, Garmadon tries to destroy it, but they are confronted by the Omega, the Oni leader.
The pilot episodes introduce five of the show's six main teenage ninja characters named Kai, Cole, Jay, Zane and Nya and their wise master, Sensei Wu that would remain the central characters of the series. The storyline focuses on the ninja team's efforts to stop the villainous Lord Garmadon from obtaining the four Golden Weapons of Spinjitzu. [5]
The Lego Ninjago Movie theme was based on the characters and events of the 2017 film titled The Lego Ninjago Movie. The pilot episodes exist in 2 versions, a two-episode version, titled "Way of the Ninja" (which combines "Way of the Ninja" and "The Golden Weapon") and "King of Shadows" (which combines "King of Shadows" and "Weapons of Destiny"), respectively, each about 22 minutes long, as well as a four-episode version, each about 11 minutes long, which is listed here.
