Ngwesaung (Burmese: ငွေဆောင် [ŋwè zàʊɰ̃]), also spelt Ngwe Hsaung, is a beach resort located 48 km west of Pathein, Ayeyarwady Region, Myanmar. It is the namesake of Ngwesaung Subtownship, Pathein Township. In 2014, the town of Ngwesaung had 10,732 people. [3]
The namesake of the subtownship is Ngwesaung, a popular beach resort with a white sand shore. [2] The subtownship is relatively urban with 27.3% of the population in 2019 living within the town of Ngwesaung. [3] In 2023, the subtownship saw significant population growth going from 38,020 people in 2022 to 41,592 people in 2023. [1]
Chaungtha (Burmese: ချောင်းသာ [tɕʰáʊɰ̃ ɾ̪θà]) is a town and beach resort located in Shwethaungyan Subtownship, Pathein Township, Ayeyarwady Region, Myanmar. [2] Chaungtha Beach , as it is more commonly known, is about 5 hours' drive away from Yangon , and is a popular resort with Yangonites from October to April. [ 3 ]

Resorts World Manila is the sister resort to Resorts World Genting in Malaysia and Resorts World Sentosa in Singapore. It was the first integrated resort in Metro Manila, and from 2009 to 2013 it was the only one in operation until the opening of Solaire Resort & Casino in Entertainment City, Parañaque, on March 16, 2013.
In 1992, the government sold the hotel to the Ibru family (via Ikeja hotel Plc) for $50M, outbidding the Daewoo corporation of South Korea. [3] In 2007, South Africa hospitality and gaming company Sun International purchased a 49% stake in the hotel, and became the hotel's operator. [ 4 ]
In 1903, the hotel was restructured and renamed the Palace Hotel. The building that stands today was completed in 1908, and offered two elevators, the first building in Shanghai to do so. It was also once home to a Kuhn & Komor shop. The hotel occupies 2,125 square metres (22,870 sq ft), with a floor space of 11,607 square metres (124,940 sq ft).
