The Corruption Eradication Commission (Indonesian: Komisi Pemberantasan Korupsi), abbreviated as KPK, is an Indonesian government agency established to prevent and fight corruption in the country. [2] The KPK was created in 2003 during the Megawati presidency due to high corruption in the Post-Suharto era.
Corruption is a significant political issue in Indonesia, and KPK, established in 2002, was a part of the reform demands that followed the overthrow of the authoritarian Suharto regime. [4] Since its establishment, KPK has been known for targeting high-profile politicians and business people. [ 16 ]

The Indonesian electoral law of 2017, also known in Indonesia as Undang-Undang Pemilu, is the law regulating elections in Indonesia. Officially, it is known as the Law Number 7 of 2017 (Undang-Undang Nomor 7 Tahun 2017, or UU 7/2017).
