Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) is the first Pentecostal church present in Nigeria.It arose in the first half of the 20th century, in the then-British empire.It was founded in Ijebu-ode named Precious Stone Society in 1918 [1] but was formally established in 1941 after a split from the Apostolic Church which the original Aladura organization (Faith Tabernacle) had invited to Nigeria.
Christ Apostolic Church International is a Pentecostal Evangelical church which traces its existence from the ministry of the late Apostle Peter Anim, the originator of Ghanaian Pentecostalism. [1] It had a humble beginning as a prayer group started in 1917 at Asamankese , but later received affiliation with Apostolic Church Bradford.
Restorationists such as Bernard and Norris deny any direct link between the church of the Apostolic Age and the current Oneness movement, believing that modern Oneness Pentecostalism is a total restoration originating from a step-by-step separation within Protestantism culminating in the final restoration of the early apostolic church.

In 1917, a second group was formed, centred on Birmingham, affiliated to the Apostolic Church in Wales. The following year the Burning Bush Pentecostal Congregation in Glasgow came into cooperation with the Apostolic Church. [6] In the same year, a group using the name "Apostolic Church" in Hereford also came into cooperation with the ACW. [6]
The Revival group went through additional name changes until, 24 years after its formation, it settled on the name Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) in 1942. Today, CAC has spread worldwide and is the precursor of Aladura Pentecostal Churches in Nigeria.
This movement later metamorphosed to Living Faith Church Worldwide (whose headquarters is the Faith Tabernacle) and to the Christ Apostolic Church. The Church of the Lord (Aladura) is an African Initiated Church founded by Josiah Olunowo Ositelu in 1925, and inaugurated in 1930 in Ogere Remo, Ogun State, Nigeria.
