The Six Days of Ghent (Dutch: Zesdaagse Vlaanderen-Gent) is a six-day track cycling race held annually in Ghent, Belgium. It takes place in the Kuipke velodrome in Ghent's Citadelpark . The 66th running of this event from 21 to 26 November 2006 was marred by the death of one of the riders.
The 2013 Gent–Wevelgem was the 75th running of the Gent–Wevelgem single-day cycling race. It was held on 24 March 2013 over a distance of 183.4 kilometres (114.0 miles) and was the seventh race of the 2013 UCI World Tour season.
The building previously served as a greenhouse and was renamed Sportpaleis Gent. Because of its short track and unusually steep gradient, it was nicknamed "Kuipke" (English: Little Tub). On 12 November 1962 the building was destroyed by fire, after which a second velodrome was opened on the same location in 1965.
