Death Knights of Krynn is the second in a three-part series of Dragonlance Advanced Dungeons & Dragons "Gold Box" role-playing video games, published by Strategic Simulations. [2] The game was released in 1991. [3] The story is a continuation of the events after Champions of Krynn [4] and is followed by The Dark Queen of Krynn.

Lord Soth was the main antagonist in Death Knights of Krynn. [17] In a review of the game in Computer Gaming World , Soth is described as a "necrophiliac" who enjoys nothing as much as "animating some hapless corpse and sending it out to wreak grave consequences on the world."
To play The Dark Queen of Krynn, the player generates a party of six characters. The gameplay basics are identical to all games in the series. Characters can also be transferred from Death Knights of Krynn. The game was more combat heavy than the previous releases in the series and there was less time spent in exploration mode.
