Dangcagan, officially the Municipality of Dangcagan (Cebuano: Lungsod sa Dangcagan; Tagalog: Bayan ng Dangcagan), is a municipality in the province of Bukidnon, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 26,076 people, making it the least populated municipality in the province.
In the early Qing dynasty, He Province was put under the jurisdiction of Lintao Fu . [6] The local government stopped using the lijia system in 1705, and replaced it with the huishe system (Chinese: 会社制; pinyin: huìshè zhì). [6] In 1762, He Province was revoked, and replaced with Xunhua Subprefecture . [6]
Bukidnon's 3rd congressional district is one of the four congressional districts of the Philippines in the province of Bukidnon. It has been represented in the House of Representatives since 1987. [3] The district encompasses the entire southern frontier of Bukidnon bordering the Davao and Soccksargen regions.

The Muleta River is found in the southern portion of the province covering the municipalities of Pangantucan, Don Carlos, Kitaotao, Dangcagan, Kibawe, Kadingilan and Damulog. It is another important tributary of the Pulangi River and flows southward. It will join the Pulangi River in the boundary of Bukidnon and Cotabato province.
