Still, Jim has devoted himself to making Sunnyvale a better place to live, accompanied by his devoted assistant Randy. Lahey and Randy were unbeknownst to one another prior to their lives in Sunnyvale by their real names. Before arriving in Sunnyvale, Randy was a male prostitute named 'Smokey' and Lahey was his john called 'Simon'.
Although Mr. Lahey is initially apprehensive towards his new assistant, Ricky eventually succeeds in earning his trust. Meanwhile, Julian uses the last of his money to buy a shipment of vodka from a Russian smuggler and begins a bootlegging operation in the park. With Mr. Lahey on the trail, Ricky must decide where his loyalties lie.
John Francis Dunsworth (April 12, 1946 – October 16, 2017) was a Canadian actor and filmmaker. He was best known for playing trailer park supervisor Jim Lahey, the antagonist on the comedy series Trailer Park Boys (2001–2018).
In the film, Ricky , Julian (John Paul Tremblay) and Bubbles attempt a series of get-rich-quick schemes, but are again pursued by Sunnyvale Trailer Park supervisor Jim Lahey (John Dunsworth). The story culminates in Ricky heading to Parliament Hill in Ottawa, where he tries to prevent the legalization of cannabis.
James "Jim" Lahey (played by John Dunsworth) is the supervisor of Sunnyvale Trailer Park. In his youth, Lahey was an idealistic police officer, but since his wrongful dismissal as a result of a prank by Julian, Ricky, and Bubbles on Halloween 1977, he degenerated into a bitter alcoholic.
Bubbles is told that the kittens will be put down soon unless he can raise the money to have them released. Lahey, drunk again, destroys Ricky's new cannabis growing operation and also demolishes Julian's trailer in an attempt to get Julian to move. However, Lahey's plan backfires as Julian has insured his trailer for $28,000.
According to the Independent, the idea was conjured up by the French company, Bic, who added the holes to prevent people from choking to death if they were to accidentally swallow one.
Ricky and Julian are picked up by Bubbles and Ricky's father, Ray, and are brought back to Sunnyvale Trailer Park, only to be greeted by the trailer-park supervisor Jim Lahey and his shirtless, cheeseburger-loving assistant, Randy. Ricky decides to get back with his girlfriend Lucy and become a better father to their daughter, Trinity.
