Marlboro is a hamlet (and census-designated place) in Ulster County, New York, United States. The population was 3,669 at the 2020 census . Marlboro is in the southeastern part of the town of Marlborough , located in the southeastern corner of the county.
The western border of the town closely parallels the Marlboro Mountain ridge, dividing Marlborough from the town of Plattekill. The lowest point in the town is the shore of the Hudson River, which is at sea level. The highest point is the summit of Marlboro Mountain, at 1,127 feet (344 m).

Hemlock Ridge Multiple Use Area is an 80-acre (32 ha) state forest in New York, USA.It is located in the town of Plattekill in southern Ulster County. [1] [2] The forest covers a hilly area on the western flank of Marlboro Mountain, the namesake ridge of the Marlboro Mountains range.
