Stonewall is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Gillespie County, Texas, United States. The population was 451 at the 2020 census . It was named for Confederate General Thomas J. (Stonewall) Jackson , by Israel P. Nunez, who established a stage station near the site in 1870.

Stonewall County is a county located in the U.S. state of Texas. As of the 2020 census, its population was 1,245. [1] Its county seat is Aspermont. [2] The county was created in 1876 and organized in 1888. [3] It is named for Stonewall Jackson, a general of the Confederate States Army.
Swenson is an unincorporated community in Stonewall County, Texas, United States. It is located immediately east of the junction of U.S. Highway 380 and FM 1646 in west-central Stonewall County. According to the Handbook of Texas , the community had an estimated population of 185 in 2000.
