In the 1925 film Wizard of Oz, the Scarecrow and the Tin Man were actually human farmhands, who were blown to Oz by the tornado along with Dorothy. Well, Wizard of Oz fans may notice a familiar musical motif, written by Harold Arlen and E. Y. Harburg, used in the Golden Age film that plays in the background during the first few moments of Wicked.
During her appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show set to air Thursday, Dec. 5, the Wicked actress was presented with her character Glinda's wand from the 1939 classic The Wizard of Oz.
