Sandra Laugier is a French philosopher, who works on moral philosophy, political philosophy, philosophy of language, gender studies, and popular culture.She is a full professor of philosophy (classe exceptionnelle, University Professor) at the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and a Senior member of the Institut Universitaire de France.
It partly succeeded the Faculty of Arts of the former University of Paris (1150-1793). In 1896, it was joined to four other faculties in Paris to form the new University of Paris. It was dissolved in 1970, at the same time as the University of Paris. Sorbonne University and the Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University are its main successors today.

François Laruelle (/ l ɑː r ˈ w ɛ l /; French: [fʁɑ̃swa laʁɥɛl] ⓘ; 22 August 1937 – 28 October 2024) was a French philosopher, of the Collège international de philosophie and the University of Paris X: Nanterre.
He aggregated in 1955, having studied philosophy. He spent the next few years as a naval officer before finally receiving his doctorate (doctorat ès lettres) in 1968 from the University of Paris (with a thesis titled Le Système de Leibniz et ses modèles mathématiques), and began teaching in 1969 at the University of Paris I.
