In 1859 A. Humphries, Indian Agent for Utah reported that a grasshopper plague had destroyed the crops of the farm, and operations there were suspended there by order of the Superintendent. [5] Due to the removal of Superintendent Jacob Forney in 1859, that office of the Utah Indian Agency was left vacant for over a year and in debt.

It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1996, [1] and was delisted in 2023. [2] It was the farmhouse of a 60-acre (24 ha) farm with an orchard; it is now within the college campus. [3]
