X-Wing and Rogue Squadron are pretty different games, not least because of platform (the X-Wing series is PC-specific, whilst the RS games have appeared on Saturn, PC, Nintendo 64, GameCube and other platforms) but also because the X-Wing series is much more based around 'simulation' rather than RS, which is more arcade-action.
