Nürnberg Hauptbahnhof is an important hub in the south German railway network. Numerous lines meet here from all points of the compass. Amongst them is the Nuremberg–Ingolstadt high-speed railway, opened in summer 2006 and which shortened journey times on many routes.

Nürnberg Frankenstadion station (German: Bahnhof Nürnberg Frankenstadion) is a railway station in Nuremberg, Germany. It is located along the Nuremberg–Feucht railway, between the Zerzabelshof district in the north and Volkspark Dutzendteich in the south. [1] It is served by the S2 of the Nuremberg S-Bahn.
The original route between Nuremberg and Erlangen, parallel to the Ludwig-Danube-Main Canal and east of Fürth was changed between 1862 and 1876 with the construction of the line to Würzburg and the so-called Furth arc. Until that time, the Ludwig South–North line the crossed the Ludwig Railway at the border of Nuremberg and Fürth.
