BMW S1000RR is a race oriented sport bike initially made by BMW Motorrad to compete in the 2009 Superbike World Championship, [1] that is now in commercial production. It was introduced in Munich in April 2008, [ 2 ] and is powered by a 999 cc (61.0 cu in) transverse inline four-cylinder engine redlined at 14,200 rpm.
As with the RR, The M package, is available, which includes motorsport paint finish, M carbon fibre wheels, an M lightweight battery, M Chassis Kit with rear ride height adjustment and swingarm pivot, the M Sport seat and a "Pro" riding mode. [2] It replaces the R1150R, compared with which it has a 55 lb (25 kg) weight saving and 28% increase in power. [2] The air/oil-cooled flat-twin (boxer) engine produces 80 kW (109 hp) and features dual overhead camshafts.
A key difference between 1080i and 1080p is how the lines of resolution are displayed. Both offer 1920x1080 pixels, but the display method is different. In 1080p, the "p" stands for progressive scan. Each frame is drawn line by line, from top to bottom, creating a complete image in a single pass.
