Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy (Romanian: Universitatea de Medicină și Farmacie „Carol Davila”) or University of Medicine and Pharmacy Bucharest, commonly known by the abbreviation UMFCD, is a public health sciences university in Bucharest, Romania. It is one of the largest and oldest institutions of its kind in Romania.
The university was founded on 30 December 1944 by decree of the then King of Romania Michael I. There are three faculties within UMFT: Medicine, Dentistry and Pharmacy. In 2011, UMFT was classified as an education and research university by the Ministry of Education. [3]
The students graduating from the Faculty of Pharmacy, have multiple possibilities, such as being the pharmacists in hospital pharmacies, public pharmacies, pharmaceutical warehouses, medical representatives, as well as researchers in pharmaceutical institutions. Faculty of Pharmacy offers the possibility to prepare for the following forms of study:

There are a number of post-secondary educational institutions in Romania. Public universities, owned and operated by the state, emerged as such in the 1860s. Private universities, except for a handful of theological seminaries, were set up after the Romanian Revolution of 1989.
The degree awarded is "Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery". The minimum requirements for the MBBS course are 50% marks in physics, chemistry, biology and English in a student's secondary school examinations and student need to pass National Eligibility cum Entrance Test examination for the admission in Ukraine Universities.
