Table Rock State Park is a public recreation area in the U.S. state of Missouri consisting of 356 acres (144 ha) located in Taney County and Stone County on Table Rock Lake along the southern side of the city of Branson. The state park's facilities include a marina, campgrounds, and trails for hiking and bicycling. [4]
John Ross House, also known as Old Matt's Cabin, is a historic home located at the Shepherd of the Hills farm near Branson, Taney County, Missouri. The original section was built in the mid-1880s or mid-1890s, as a single cell log structure. It was subsequently enlarged with frame additions through 1910. It features a stone exterior end chimney.
Lake Taneycomo originated when the White River was confined by the completion of the Powersite Dam, near Forsyth, Missouri, in 1913. [2] From 1913 until 1958 it was a warm water lake. [ 3 ] In the 1920s and 1930s, tourists began to be drawn to the lake and its nearby communities, Branson and Rockaway Beach .
White Water Branson is a 13-acre commercial recreational water park located in Branson, in southwestern Missouri. It features a wave pool for swimming, water rides, private poolside cabana rentals, dining and shopping. It is open seasonally from May to September.
Rockaway Beach is located on the north shore of Lake Taneycomo and the White River. Forsyth is approximately three miles to the southeast on Missouri Route 176. [9]According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.69 square miles (1.79 km 2), of which 0.61 square miles (1.58 km 2) is land and 0.08 square miles (0.21 km 2) is water.
