Aus-Rotten was an American crust punk band formed in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Active from 1991 to 2001, its members practiced and promoted a philosophy of anarchist politics. The band included lead vocalist Dave Trenga, vocalist/guitarist Eric Good, bassist Corey Lyons, and drummer Matt Garabedian.

The Carnegie Mellon School of Music in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, is a degree-granting institution founded in 1912 as one of five divisions of the College of Fine Arts at what was then the Carnegie Institute of Technology (Carnegie Mellon University since 1967).
Musicians Institute was founded as The Guitar Institute of Technology in 1977 as a one-year vocational school of guitarists and bassists. Its curriculum and pedagogical style was shaped by guitarist Howard Roberts (1929–1992).
