The City of Kawartha Lakes (2021 population 79,247 [2]) is a single-tier municipality in Central Ontario, Canada. Though structured as a single-tier municipality, Kawartha Lakes is the size of a typical Ontario county and is mostly rural. It is the second largest single-tier municipality in Ontario by land area (after Greater Sudbury).
The Trillium Lakelands District School Board (TLDSB, known as English-language Public District School Board No. 15 prior to 1999 [1]) administers public school education for students in a large area of central Ontario, Canada, including the municipalities of the City of Kawartha Lakes, Haliburton County, and the District Municipality of Muskoka.
It is currently the only Catholic secondary school in the City of Kawartha Lakes. The school was opened in 2000, and celebrated its 10th anniversary on March 29, 2011.
