The 25th Infantry Division (nicknamed "Tropic Lightning") [1] is a United States Army division based at Schofield Barracks in Hawaii. The division, which was activated on 1 October 1941 in Hawaii, conducts military operations primarily in the Asia-Pacific region.

25th DIVARTY entered the Vietnam War in support of 25th Infantry Division, 1st Marine Division, and Republic of Vietnam forces to provide fire support to these units, additionally 25th DIVARTY was instrumental in combatting communist forces in the Southeast Asia region.

The 225th CSB was originally activated on 10 February 1971 in Vietnam to provide direct support to the 2nd Brigade, 25th Infantry Division. After only a few months in Vietnam, the 2nd Brigade returned to Hawaii and the 225th Combat Support Battalion was deactivated and the unit was not yet authorized distinctive unit colors or motto.
The unit was inactive and remained inactive for 14 years. On 1 October 1941, the Hawaiian Division was split into the 24th and 25th Infantry divisions. The 65th Engineer Battalion was assigned to the 25th Infantry Division (25th ID), and was activated. [4]
