As Namek gets closer to its explosion, it looks like Goku can beat Frieza with ease, as he has finally stopped holding back and Frieza is getting weaker from the strain of his 100% full power state. Finally, Goku decides to leave, stating that Frieza has already lost to a fighter superior to him, but the tyrant won't give up that easily.

In this new state, Goku easily overpowers a horrified Freeza, who launches an energy blast straight at Namek's core so that the planet will explode within five minutes.
At Vegeta's request, Goku explains to the others that he managed to survive Planet Namek's destruction by escaping in one of the Ginyu Force's space pods just seconds before Namek exploded.
