The Süper Lig (Turkish pronunciation: [ˈsypæɾ liɟ], Super League), officially known as Trendyol Süper Lig for sponsorship reasons, [3] is a Turkish professional league for association football clubs. It is the top-flight of the Turkish football league system and is run by the Turkish Football Federation.
A total of 19 teams contested the league, including 16 sides from the 2021–22 season and 2021–22 TFF First League champions Ankaragücü, runners-up Ümraniyespor and play-off winners İstanbulspor. Ankaragücü immediately returned to top level, while Ümraniyespor competed in the Süper Lig for the first time in their history.
