This is a list of some Spanish words of Germanic origin. The list includes words from Visigothic , Frankish , Langobardic , Middle Dutch , Middle High German , Middle Low German , Old English , Old High German , Old Norse , Old Swedish , English , and finally, words which come from Germanic with the specific source unknown.
It is not a list of names of demons, although some are listed by more than one name. The list of demons in fiction includes those from literary fiction with theological aspirations, such as Dante's Inferno. Because numerous lists of legendary creatures concern mythology, folklore, and folk fairy tales, much overlap may be expected.
The Spanish termination "-o" usually denotes the masculine and is normally changed to feminine by dropping the "-o" and adding "-a". The plural forms are usually "-os" and "-as", respectively. Adjectives ending -ish can be used as collective demonyms (e.g. the English, the Cornish).
