The game lands have an area of nearly 24,480 acres (9,910 ha) in Bradford County. The area is mainly mountainous and wooded and major streams in the area include Schrader Creek, Sugar Run, and Little Schrader Creek. Game animals within the game lands include black bear, gray squirrel, whitetail deer, and wild turkey.

[12] As of the 2010 U.S. Census [ 13 ] the micropolitan area ranked 8th most populous in the State of Pennsylvania and the 131st most populous in the United States with a population of 62,622.
Bradford is located on U.S. Route 219, just south of its junction with Interstate 86 north of the New York border. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 3.5 square miles (9.1 km 2), all land. Bradford is situated in a valley in the Allegheny Mountains and is surrounded by woods and steep hills.
