The General Dynamics F-111 Aardvark is a retired supersonic, medium-range, multirole combat aircraft. Production models of the F-111 had roles that included attack (e.g. interdiction), strategic bombing (including nuclear weapons capabilities), reconnaissance and electronic warfare.
The General Dynamics F-111C (nicknamed the "Pig") is a variant of the F-111 Aardvark medium-range interdictor and tactical strike aircraft, developed by General Dynamics to meet Australian requirements. Ribas-Dominicci) and Weapon Systems Officer (Captain Paul F. Lorence) were killed. Major Ribas-Dominicci's body was returned to the US in 1989. Captain Lorence's body was never found.
