Ohio Valley Medical Center (OVMC) was a 200-bed health care facility in Wheeling, West Virginia, United States. It was founded in 1890 as City Hospital. It was founded in 1890 as City Hospital. The downtown Charleston store, built in 1948, has remained vacant since the location moved to the Charleston Town Center mall in 1997. On November 15, 2019, BridgeValley Community and Technical College announced that it would explore purchasing the Charleston building to renovate for use as its Kanawha Valley campus.

Ohio Valley and Eastern Ohio Regional Transit Authority is the provider of public transportation located in Wheeling, West Virginia and the surrounding area. The company is split into two divisions, the OVRTA, which provides seven routes on the West Virginia side of metro area, and the EORTA, which features four routes for the Ohio communities.
It was founded in 1848 as the Wheeling Female Academy in downtown Wheeling and in 1865 moved to its final location and assumed its permanent name. While grades five through twelve were all female, Mount de Chantal's Montessori and Elementary schools were co-ed. They were members of the Ohio Valley Athletic Conference.
