Southbank is an inner-city suburb in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 1 km (0.62 mi) south of the Melbourne central business district, located within the Cities of Melbourne and Port Phillip local government areas. Southbank recorded a population of 22,631 at the 2021 census. [1]
Moray House College of Education was officially formed in 1959. In the early 1980s, Callendar Park College of Education, in Falkirk, was merged with Moray House. In 1987, Moray House merged with the Dunfermline College of Physical Education based at Cramond, [6] and continued to exist on two separate campuses (Holyrood and Cramond) until 2001. [7]
In 1869 George William Hall applied for a publican's licence for a house built of wood and plaster and situated at corner of Moray-street and Sandridge-road (now City Road). He was granted a licence and named this establishment the Main Point Hotel. [2]

9 Regent Terrace, childhood home of William Gordon Dey. He was the son of Alexander John Dey FRSE (1868-1937) a pharmaceutical and manufacturing chemist, originally from Rothiemay, [1] and his wife Isabella Scott Robertson.
