Francis Cadell (pronounced "Caddle") [2] was born in Edinburgh, the son of Dr Francis Cadell FRCSE (1844–1909), a wealthy surgeon [3] and his wife, Mary Hamilton Boileau (1853–1907). [ 4 ] His childhood home was at 22 Ainslie Place [ 5 ] on Edinburgh's prestigious Moray Estate , and he was educated privately at the Edinburgh Academy . [ 6 ]
Professor Ross Sinclair (born 1966 in Glasgow) is a Scottish visual artist, musician and writer. He lives and works in Kilcreggan, Argyll and is currently Reader in Contemporary Art Practice at The Glasgow School of Art, [1] whilst also maintaining his professional practice.

Alasdair James Gray (28 December 1934 – 29 December 2019) was a Scottish writer and artist. His first novel, Lanark (1981), is seen as a landmark of Scottish fiction. He published novels, short stories, plays, poetry and translations, and wrote on politics and the history of English and Scots literature.
On one occasion, he was shot at by an Afghan but the bullet just missed. At Gandamak , he met the photographer John Burke and his counterpart at The Graphic , Frederic Villiers , and after the departure of Archibald Forbes , Simpson took over the task of supplying the Daily News with accounts of the campaign.
Rachel Jones (born 1991) [1] is a British visual artist. She has exhibited work in the UK at galleries and institutions including Thaddaeus Ropac, The Sunday Painter and the Royal Scottish Academy, and has been artist-in-residence at the Chinati Foundation (2019) and Masterworks Museum of Bermuda Art in (2016). Crawhall specialised in painting animals and birds. He was born 20 August 1861 at Morpeth, Northumberland. He trained at King's College London before going to Paris to work with Aimé Morot in 1882. [2] In the 1880s and 1890s, his work became associated with the Glasgow Boys.
