Syed Nazrul Islam - was the vice-president and acting president of Mujibnagar Government, the first government of Bangladesh. He was the former vice-chairman of BAKSAL. [6] Tajuddin Ahmed - was a lawyer, politician and the first Prime Minister of Bangladesh. He was a former finance minister and a member of parliament.
The insignia for the rank of major general is the shapla taken from the Bangladesh coat of arms, above a 'crossed sword and baton' since 2013. [2] Until 2013, the insignia was used for 'lieutenant-general' rank and major general's insignia was only a pip over crossed sword and baton. Major generals wear two-star pointed badge in collars.
