The field portion of the facility is named for Red Rolfe, Dartmouth Class of 1931, former New York Yankees player and Dartmouth athletic director from 1954 to 1967. Bob Whalen (born October 15, 1957) is an American college baseball coach who has been the head coach of Dartmouth since the start of the 1990 season. Under him, the Big Green have appeared in two NCAA tournaments.
