The Government of Maharashtra is the executive governing authority of the Indian state of Maharashtra. The government is led by the chief minister (currently Eknath Shinde since 30 June 2022) who selects all the other ministers. The state has had a Shiv Sena-led government since 2022.
The Maharashtra Council of Ministers, [1] also called State Cabinet is the principal executive organ of the Government of Maharashtra, which functions as the senior decision-making body of the executive branch.
