The college's student-run newspaper is the Delta Collegiate and has been published since the college opened in 1961. The newspaper prints a new issue every two weeks during the fall and winter semester. The Visual Arts Department displays exhibits in the LH Horton Jr Gallery on campus. Six exhibitions are presented annually: three juried exhibitions (ceramics, painting & sculpture, and photography), biennial faculty and alumni shows, a thematic small group show, and an annual student art show. Stauffer-Wood Administration Building houses administrative functions. The 11,000-square-foot (1,000 m 2) facility is located on the southern border of the college and was named after Sherman Stauffer and Pete Wood, respectively an assistant to the president of the college and business manager, and a former agriculture teacher who had graduated from the college.
Delta High School opened on September 15, 2015 [4] Each school district is allocated approximately 1/3 of the enrollment for its students. Approximately 40 percent of the first year's 100 enrollees left the school, mostly in the first year, reportedly due to frustration with the start-up of the new school and the rigorous program [citation needed].
Delta Charter High School (DCHS) is located on the outskirts of Tracy, California.DCHS has a student population of about 300. [1] It is a Charter School focused on balancing a mix of both independent study and classroom instruction, [2] and is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. [3]
