USS Oklahoma (BB-37) (1916–1944) – Battleship. Served in World War I. Sunk in the Attack on Pearl Harbor. Sunk by carrier-based aircraft torpedoes, raised in 1943, sank 17 May 1947 in a storm while being towed to San Francisco for scrapping. In 2003, the U.S. Navy recovered part of the mast of the Oklahoma from the bottom of Pearl Harbor.
In 2023, the organization overseeing Woodring Wall of Honor and Veterans Park expanded their exhibits to include a 40,000 educational Oklahoma military history exhibit at Enid's Oakwood Mall.

The 563rd Rescue Group directs flying operations dedicated to personnel recovery and is part of Air Combat Command. The group is responsible for training, readiness, and operations of one Lockheed HC-130J Combat King squadron, two Sikorsky HH-60G Pave Hawk squadrons, two "Guardian Angel" squadrons , and an operations support squadron.
The XIII Corps was authorized by the National Defense Act of 1920, and was to be composed of units of the Organized Reserve located primarily in the Third Corps Area.The Headquarters and Headquarters Company were constituted on 29 July 1921 in the Regular Army, allotted to the Third Corps Area, and assigned to the Fourth Army.
