4. Phloem I 5. Sclerenchyma 6. Cortex 7. Epidermis. In botany, a cortex is an outer layer of a stem or root in a vascular plant, lying below the epidermis but outside of the vascular bundles. [1] The cortex is composed mostly of large thin-walled parenchyma cells of the ground tissue system and shows little to no structural differentiation. [2]
Roots are specialized for the uptake of water, nutrients (including ions for proper function). [12] Similar to the endodermis, the exodermis contains very compact cells and is surrounded by a Casparian band, two features which are used to restrict the flow of water to a symplastic fashion (through the cytoplasm) rather than apoplastic fashion which (through the cell wall) flow through passages ...
In Vietnam, P. vietnamensis is found primarily in the Mount Ngọc Linh area of Kon Tum and Quảng Nam provinces, from which its local name is derived. [3] [4] It is also found in the Mount Ngọc Lum Heo and Mount Ngọc Am areas of Quảng Nam Province.
Root hair cells improve plant water absorption by increasing root surface area to volume ratio which allows the root hair cell to take in more water. The large vacuole inside root hair cells makes this intake much more efficient. Root hairs are also important for nutrient uptake as they are main interface between plants and mycorrhizal fungi.

Two root systems (E 1, Φ 1) and (E 2, Φ 2) are called isomorphic if there is an invertible linear transformation E 1 → E 2 which sends Φ 1 to Φ 2 such that for each pair of roots, the number , is preserved. [7] The root lattice of a root system Φ is the Z-submodule of E generated by Φ.
Chữ khoa đẩu is a term claimed by the Vietnamese pseudohistorian Đỗ Văn Xuyền to be an ancient, pre-Sinitic script for the Vietnamese language. Đỗ Văn Xuyền's works supposedly shows the script have been in use during the Hồng Bàng period, and it is believed to have disappeared later during the Chinese domination of Vietnam .
Most words are created by either compounding or reduplicative derivation. Affixation is a relatively minor derivational process. Older styles of Vietnamese writing wrote polysyllabic words with hyphens separating the syllables, as in cào-cào "grasshopper", sinh-vật-học "biology", or cà-phê "coffee".
