The Warren Block is a historic commercial building at Cumberland and Main Streets in Westbrook, Maine, United States. Built in 1882 to a design by John Calvin Stevens, it is a sophisticated example of commercial Queen Anne architecture. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974. [1]
This organization became dormant in 1866, but was revived in 1883. In 1891 the town was bequested funds for a library building in the will of Joseph Walker, a Westbrook native [3] who made his fortune in the lumber industry. The main building was designed by Portland architect Frederick Tompson, then one of Maine's leading architects. [2]
