MSC Preziosa is a Fantasia-class cruise ship owned and operated by MSC Cruises. She entered service in March 2013. She entered service in March 2013. She is an enhanced version of her first two class member ships, MSC Splendida and MSC Fantasia , and is identical to the previous MSC Divina .
MSC Cruises and STX France cut the first steel of MSC Bellissima on 28 November 2016, [5] [6] with £750M investment. [7] Her keel laying and coin ceremony happened on 15 November 2017. [ 8 ] It also features 2,217 cabins and 1,418 balconies that can accommodate 5,686 guests, [ 9 ] with the length of 315.8m and a width of 43m. [ 10 ]
In October 2018, MSC Group announced an order with Fincantieri for four luxury cruise ships. This was later increased to six, with deliveries running through to 2028. [2] The line's first ship, Explora I completed its sea trials in April 2023. Delivery was delayed due to faulty fire panels.
On 31 October 2019, MSC announced the name of the first World-class ship as MSC Europa and held the ship's steel-cutting ceremony at Chantiers de l'Atlantique, inaugurating the construction for the ship. [5] The ship was later revealed to be renamed MSC World Europa, announced during her keel-laying ceremony on 29 June 2020. [6]
In July 2010, MSC Cruises announced the construction of a new Fantasia-class ship to be named MSC Divina. [5] MSC Divina was largely based on the two previous ships in the class, however she was increased in size from 137,936 to 139,400 gross tonnage with 100 additional cabins and facilities and more efficient and energy saving mechanical and electrical systems.
