The National High School Mock Trial Championship is an American nationwide competition of high school mock trial teams. Hundreds, and even thousands of teams participate in district, regional, and state tournaments to select one champion team to represent each of the 50 states.
Delaware has been the host site of the National High School Mock Trial Championship twice in 2008 and 2024. [3] A Delaware team has never won the National Competition but it has had one second place finish (1995) and one third place finish (2008) since it joined as a member state to the organization in 1993.

The Pennsylvania Mock Trial Competition is a high school Mock Trial competition in Pennsylvania sponsored by the Pennsylvania Bar Association Young Lawyers Division. The winning school of the state finals advances to the National High School Mock Trial Championship. The Pennsylvania Mock Trial Competition first began in 1984. [1]
The school won the 2022 National High School Mock Trial Championship. [3] Since 2001 the team has placed in the top ten in the nation five times [ 4 ] and finished in the top 20 eleven times. The team has also won sixteen Kentucky state titles, including, most recently, three consecutive Kentucky state titles in 2022, 2023, and 2024.
In 2024, the High School's Mock Trial team advanced to the Delaware Mock Trial Competition finals. As Delaware was hosting the National High School Mock Trial Championship, that team participated as the competition's "second team", finishing 21st out 48 (the best showing by a Delaware School since 2016). The winning team represents the state of Illinois at the National High School Mock Trial Championship. Originally held in Springfield, Illinois, the invitational moved to Mock trials allow researchers to examine confirmation biases in a realistic setting.
