The CAI, headers, and CAT-Back helps with air flow, while the under drive pulley and electrical fan help to reduce the drag from belt driven engine components. With all of that said, I decided on a Toyota tundra, because of the reliability and durability of the truck, so purchasing a high mileage tundra made me feel less weary than an older truck from the Big 3. In June 2020, I saw a 2010 Tundra Crewmax for sale in a nearby town. I drove an hour to see it and it was really well kept.
One idea. If you disconnect the Tundra battery, this reset the ECM, and when it starts the first time after an ECM reset, the engine will start, run for a second, and stall. You then restart and it will run fine. I wonder if you have a loose connection to the battery that is resetting the ECM intermittently.
