It is implied that Cheals' injury, as evidenced by his use of a wheelchair, was the reason for the end of his service with the Unit.
The season included 22 episodes and introduced Bridget Sullivan (Nicole Steinwedell) and Sam McBride (Wes Chatham), new members to the unit and the team.
