Grant Park Shopping Centre (formerly Grant Park Plaza) is a 70-shop, nearly 400,000-square-foot [1] shopping centre in the Grant Park area of southwest Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Located near the mall are Grant Park High School and the Pan-Am Pool .
Being one of the largest shopping centers in Ohio at 1,677,272 square feet (155,823.7 m 2), SouthPark Mall is also ranked as one of the largest shopping malls in the United States. [2] The mall features over 170 specialty shops and restaurants, [ 3 ] and is the largest retail destination in Northern Ohio.
In the late 1960s, construction for the Grant Park Shopping Centre complex was complete; it originally featured a Woolco, Gambles, Safeway, and Dominion stores. The Pan Am Pool was also built during this time so that Winnipeg could host the 1967 Pan American Games. Until 2006, Pan Am was home to the Canadian Aquatic Hall of Fame.
